Each year, 100 women leaders and 30 rising female stars are selected by their peers from among more than 1,000 candidates as Women MAKE Awards Honorees and Emerging Leaders. This morning (March 1, 2023), the Manufacturing Institute announced the 2023 Women MAKE Awards Honorees and Emerging Leaders – and we are delighted to announce O-I Lurin Plant manager, Andrea Caceres, is being awarded as an Honoree!
Andrea is a leader of many firsts who has shattered ceilings throughout her career with O-I Glass, a leading glass bottle manufacturer. In addition to being the first female engineer to assume a position in Job Change, the first female line leader in Peru, the first unit plant manager in Peru and the Andean region, Andrea is the first female to become a plant manager in O-I’s history. With a focus on safety and leadership, she is proof of the value that’s created when highly engaged employees can work together safely.
Awardees have an opportunity to attend an exclusive, two-day leadership training program that features presentations, panels and workshops given by the top minds in professional development, including the Harvard Kennedy School and the Chicago School of Professional Psychology among others. Additionally, Honorees and Emerging Leaders are invited to join a private group just for alumnae to connect directly with each other and leaders in the manufacturing industry to ask questions, share lessons learned and discuss challenges and opportunities. Following the leadership training program, the 100 Honorees and 30 Emerging Leaders are celebrated during an evening gala.
Please join us in CELEBRATING Andrea’s fantastic achievement as she continues to be an inspiration in closing the gender gap in manufacturing!
